We hold an approval to carry out PPL(H) training at Redhill using either Hughes 300 (H269) or Jetranger Helicopters

We don't however run a full time flying school out of the hangar but instead offer in conjunction with an experienced instructor 1 to 1 courses of flying instruction which would usually take about 1 month to complete.

At the time of writing (August 2008) the requirements for the issue of a JAR PPL(H) are as follows

• 45 Hours of flying training.
• At least 10 hours of solo flying under the supervision of an instructor.
• 5 Hours of solo navigation (included in the 10 hours above).
• Hold a Class 2 Medical certificate, issued by a CAA approved doctor.
• Pass 7 multi choice exams on related subjects.
• Pass a flight test with a CAA appointed examiner.
